Myriam Laberge, M.A., IAF Certified Professional Facilitator, Don Haythorne, M.A., and Ben Kadel, Ph.D
We co-founded Breakthroughs UNLIMITED in 1989, and bring our combined years of facilitating, consulting, research, and training experience to client organizations that want to transform the way they do business, and to function more effectively. A select group of associates allows us to create strong project teams responsive to unique client needs. All of our services and support to clients is founded on participative processes that respect people, and release their commitment, energy and wisdom.

Our Associates
We draw from the strengths of a select group of associates to create strong project teams, as needed to respond to client needs: Ben Kadel, Ph. D, an organizational development consultant at Emotus Operandi helps individuals, teams, and organizations develop a culture of deep engagement, and overcome the emotional barriers and unhealthy dynamics that limit effectiveness and create unhealthy workplaces. Brenda Chaddock, is a co-designer and co-presenter with Myriam of Masterful Facilitation Institute: Becoming An Inspired Faciltator , as well as a leadership mentor and facilitator at Odyssey Leadership Centre . Ann Svendsen is a research sociologist and instructor of effective stakeholder engagement at CoreRelation Consulting Inc ; Peggy Jessome is a coach and organization development consultant at Idea Gardens Consulting ;
In addition to her work at Breakthroughs, is also part-time Director of Collaborative Learning & Dialogue at the Collaborative Learning & Innovation, in the Centre for Sustainable Community Development at Simon Fraser University, and works regularly with a top team of academics and researchers on effective multi-stakeholder engagement methods and processes.

We have had the privilege of assisting several clients over a long-term period, from the planning of their renewal efforts through implementation to successful completion. We have seen that these partnerships contributed greatly to the success of change efforts. Background
Prior to founding Breakthroughs UNLIMITED in 1989, we worked in the public and private sector as management consultants, economists, researchers, as well as program managers. Both of us hold a Masters Degree in Economics, and Don is also a former Senior Research Fellow of the London School of Economics. Myriam was named to the 1996 Macleans Honour Roll, and was a 1996 Ethics in Action Nominee for her contribution to Canadian Unity. |
